The bag arrived with a slight scent, presumably from a preservative or finishing agent. As I’m sensitive to smells, I found this mildly irritating until it wore off. The colour is beautiful and the bag itself is exactly as described with a beautiful matte finish. The strap supports the weight nicely and the bag is big enough to carry the laptop plus the charger, mouse, and keyboard that I use with it. If you find the scent bothers you as it did me, I would recommend just airing the bag outside and giving it a quick smooth over with a leather conditioner to just get rid of it.
